How we work
Our Process
Daneswood Concepts works with you through four stages: Consultation, Concepts, Architectural Drawings and Project Coordination. Throughout each phase, we are your one point of contact.
Consultation
We visit you when it suits, and take the time to listen. We want to know how you live day to day — your lifestyle and habits, needs and wants, wishes and dreams. Is privacy important? Do you entertain, indoors or out? Is music important? Are the in-laws about to move in? Many questions will be asked: some surprising, often thought-provoking, always relevant.
Concepts
Next we produce a series of conceptual drawings — ideas, suggestions, plans, elevations. We think outside the box and challenge the status quo. We present them, take your input and re-work them until you are completely happy with the concept.
Architectural drawings
Then, and only then, we involve an architect to produce technical drawings for planning permission. We work with architects familiar with our way of working, trusted for their integrity, reliability and ability to keep costs down. With the groundwork done, the architect's task is simplified and the time spent reduced — allowing significant savings to be passed on to you.
Project coordination
Daneswood Concepts follows the project to its end. We coordinate architects and structural engineers, organise the selection of the most appropriate and cost-effective builder, and ensure the project runs smoothly. When the dust settles we can introduce you to interior designers for the finishing touches. At every stage, we are there to answer questions and resolve problems.

You already have an architect you know and wish to work with?
No problem — we will happily work with them and help you with the brief. It is important to know exactly what you need before you involve them, and we find it useful to join the conversations: we are detail-oriented and our input is often valued.
You have a builder you want to use?
The same. We will work with them throughout, as there are many moments in a building project where decisions must be made about unexpected finds and surprises.
You don't want us involved in the architect's or the builder's work?
Fine. We'll work with you on the concepts and let you and them do the rest. Flexibility is part of our service.
